A Merry Navidad: Book Review & Giveaway! 💕

Happy Friday! This is the first time I review a collection by different authors so I’m uncertain how to go about it LOL.  As a whole I rate it a 4 🌟 although some of the stories alone are above that rating. I must say I loved how the authors included the recipes for food/drinks mentioned in their stories. I am sure looking to trying a few out 😁.

I was honored that authors Allison K. Garcia  and Linda K. Rodante reached out to me for reviewing, not knowing that I had it on my TBR list 😉. Without further ado I present:

A Merry Navidad: 4 Latino Christian Novellas

Description

4 Latino Christmas novellas – each story with a set of traditional Latino Christmas recipes

La Familia Es Todo — Kathi Macias — A large, once-close family that has drifted apart for various reasons. Will their longtime tradition of making tamales on Christmas Eve be enough to bring them back together?

Navidad & Familia — Allison K. García — When a blizzard traps the Campana family in their trailer on Christmas Eve with no electricity, internet, gifts, or Christmas decorations, will they drive each other crazy or will they discover the true reason for the season?

A Tamale Christmas — Linda K. Rodante — She’s an unwed mother at a Christian college. He’s a Latino student who left home and career to attend. Will the secret one of them carries keep them apart or will God perform another Christmas miracle?

Have Yourself A Merry Little Cocoa — Cynthia Marcano — Every Christmas, Isidora Lopez tries to spend her way into the hearts of those she loves, while Firefighter Gabriel Ramirez has spent his, trying to move on from a lost one, until a chance encounter unexpectedly sparks both their lives.

My Thoughts:

La a Familia es Todo, by Kathi Macias, was short and sweet. You got to love cozy endings 🙂 .

Navidad & Familia by Allison K. Garcia, has such an important message it had me reflecting on my own life and family. Have we forgotten the meaning of Christmas? Is technology overcoming our family time? The creative ways the Campana family deals with their Christmas mishap will surely bring a smile to your face! 👐

A Tamale Christmas, by Linda K. Rodante highlights how different cultures celebrate Christmas. It touches racism and how we all want to honor our Savior’s birth even if it’s in a different manner.  I love how she brings the Mexican tradition of the Posada to life 💕 !

Have Yourself A Merry Little Cocoa by Cynthia Marcano is such a romantic story! It was very entertaining and Hallmark Christmas like 😉.

And did I mention they have recipes at the end of their chapters? 🤔 😁 This collection is on Kindle for a steal deal of 99¢!

Also, I will pick 3 followers from my blog or social media to gift an e-copy to! Just comment and let me know one of your favorite Christmas books. I’ll pick winners by 6pm Ct Saturday, December 8th.

BTW author Allison, will be one of 7 authors at a Facebook party if you want to swing by 😉.  https://www.facebook.com/events/325057518247362/?ti=cl
