My thoughts:
My daughters, 2 & 6, and I loved the fun illustrations. It’s a delightful story that celebrates diversity in friends. The title implies it’s an Easter story, but Easter isn’t mentioned in it, although it does show a colorful egg in the beginning, and this tale gives a Spring Season feel.
The book is written in cursive, which looks nice and makes it unique, but at the same time, my 6-year-old, who is learning to read, couldn’t follow along. She wasn’t too disappointed since she loved the pictures. Technically, board books are for a younger target audience like my two-year-old, who doesn’t read, so it’s not a big deal.
All in all, it’s cute, and it can be yours!
