My heart raced in rhythm to the horse’s hooves as they dashed in and out of danger. Debbie held me captive ’til the very end of this medieval novel where mistrust abides with every clang of a sword.
Deirdre & Bryce would have avoided so much heartache if they hadn’t been so skeptical of each other from the beginning but both had a valid reason for looking upon the other as the enemy creating a bigger battle that encircled both British and Scottish soil. They relied on their abilities that only dug up deeper holes.
How often we find ourselves in messy situations for not trusting in the One and Only Almighty? A lesson both Deirdre and Bryce learn almost too late at the cost of lives and nearly losing their own.
If you love medieval novels you won’t want to miss this!

Description
Deirdre Mackenzie has spent her life hiding from her father and hating the English. However, when she is caught stealing from an English laird, his unexpected kindness begins to melt away her hatred and strums lonely heartstrings longing for love. Bryce Warwick discovers the “boy” caught with his livestock is actually a young woman. After several attempts to lure the truth from her, he determines she is as deceitful as his late fiancée who nearly cost him his life. But the woman is the least of his worries with the turbulence brought on by threats of another border war and by King Richard’s distrust of the nobles.
With old wounds in need of healing and adversaries who would ruin their chances at true love, both must learn to trust in a way they never knew possible.
The stakes are high, secrets prevail, and treason is just a kiss away.
Author Interview:
1 .If you had to give up either snacks and drinks during writing sessions, or music, which would you find more difficult to say goodbye to? It would have to be the snacks and drink. Because I am always sipping on a diet peach tea. And I have to confess, I don’t listen to music while I’m writing. If I did before I knew it I’d be typing the song. My husband accuses me of doing a lot of multitasking but when I write I cannot multitask. I write in silence. I know it is sad. 😉
2. Which is your favorite season to write in, and why? I have never thought about this! I write in all seasons but I guess summer has been my favorite. I love the sounds of summer, birds, crickets, bullfrogs, kids out playing and the fragrance of flowers!
3. If you had the opportunity to live anywhere in the world for a year while writing a book that took place in that same setting, where would you choose? Oh my goodness that would be Scotland! I think I’d go see a different castle or the ruins of a castle every day for inspiration. And of course to listen to the melody of the Scottish brogue certainly would get those creative juices flowing if the castle didn’t that day!
4. Picture this: You feel uninspired and you’ve sat at the computer for an hour without conquering any words. How do you get your creativity flowing? Hmmm, I would go outside (hopefully it is summer when this happens!) and spend some time with my horses. The combination of being outdoors and spending time with my horses clears my mind and allows me to think. Hopefully that would also get those creative juices flowing.
5.What has influenced you the most as a writer? I would have to say the Lord, because He is the one that put the desire in my heart to write and the ideas there as well. I always what to write what is pleasing to Him and not what will sell books. The other thing that has influenced me as a writer would probably be reading books. Both fiction and non-fiction have influenced me. They’ve showed me what I like and don’t like in fiction and in non-fiction they have given me fodder for stories .

Bio: Debbie Lynne Costello is the author of Sword of Forgiveness, Amazon’s #1 seller for Historical Christian Romance. She has enjoyed writing stories since she was eight years old. I enjoyed the interview. I’m always sipping either hot tea–especially Constant Comment or Coke–can’t seem to give it up. I have cut out out for periods of time, but I always start up again. I’m looking forward to reading your new release!

Hey Kay! So great to have you drop by! That means a lot to me! I love hot tea. It is my go to energy drink! I was a diet coke drinker and it drove my hubby crazy. He felt like it was bad for me. He was not good about wearing his seat belt so I made a deal, I gave up the diet coke and he started wearing his seatbelt. Now I’m out of the habit of drinking diet coke and he is in the habit of wearing his seat belt! It was a win win!! Good luck in the giveaways. Be sure to stop by each blog. They all end on the 30th and I’m giving a book away on EACH blog! So hit em all! 😉
