Only One!

Happy Sunday, I hope everyone is doing great?! I went off the grid for a couple of weeks due to illness in my home πŸ€’ but I am back!

Two weeks in a row I hit my lowest record of audio books! The days I showed up to work, which is where I listen to most audio books,Β Β it was mostly music in my buds to keep my sleep deprived-self, moving! However I managed to squeeze one each week πŸ˜‰.

The first week of my blog disappearance, I listened to

The Austen EscapeΒ by Katherine Reay

This was a fun, light-hearted novel. I’m not a big Jane Austen fan but this was still easy to follow. Austen fans would probably enjoy reading about the trip two girls make to England even more than I didπŸ˜‰.

The following week I listened toΒ Finding Your Voice: What Every Woman Needs to Live Her God-Given Passions Out LoudΒ by Natalie Grant.

It was a simple encouraging nonfiction where Natalie makes the analogy of finding your tone as an artist with finding your place in God’s ministry. I believe everyone can learn from it but she does seem to direct herself more to the female audience by touching subjects such as mom guilt, worrying about outward appearance among other topics.

OK so people have asked me before about my rating,Β Amazon does 5 🌟  as the maxΒ  which has been the system I use. However,Β  I’ve seen other reviewers use book emojis, coffee cups, and other fun stuff. So I decided to try to be creative and am now introducing my new rating system πŸ˜‰. Ready?

My rating system:

πŸ’• πŸ’• πŸ’• πŸ’•Β οΏΌ πŸ’•Β  – I love this book so much I could kiss the author!

πŸ’• πŸ’• πŸ’• πŸ’•Β – IΒ  love it!

πŸ’• πŸ’• πŸ’•Β – It’s a good book.

πŸ’• πŸ’•Β – It’s OK.

πŸ’•Β – Not my cup of coffee, and didn’t have heart to finish it.

So farΒ  I have not ever rated anyone a ‘one’. As for the audio books above I rate them πŸ’•Β πŸ’• πŸ’• πŸ’•!

What ya think πŸ€”?

  1. It’s been bouncing between my son, wife and mother in law lately. I’ve been trying to stay distant as much as possible… lol!

  2. Thank you! Things are normalizing πŸ˜‰.
It is a good book, I thought it be deeper but sometimes its the simple things that open are eyes and helps take a look at our spiritual journey πŸ’•! I loved hearing her testimony and how she overcame her struggles! πŸ‘
