Catching Christmas: Audio Book Review

OMG!!! I honestly don’t even know where to begin with this gem!

I barely noticed my co-workers looking my way as I literally LOL. Two individuals actually tapped my shoulder with big smiles on their faces ‘What are you listening to?’

I was too jolly to be bothered by their interruption as I removed my buds and exclaimed, ‘This book is hilarious!’

From the first paragraph I was probably smirking, as Author Terri Blackstock dives right into the story! I felt like I was inside this taxi during the chaotic Christmas rush.

For any fan of Blackstock this is not her typical kind of novel, yet she still demonstrates her creativity and senses of humor. The narrator does an amazing job of catching the emotions (and Christmas 😉), especially of the taxi driver Finn,  who happens to be my favorite character 👐!

Half way though, my laughter started dying as Terri adds a twist that had me fighting tears.  She brings into perspective what should be most important in our lives. This seriously puts Hall Mark Christmas movies to shame y’all!

It was the best 6 hours of my work shift and my only regret is that I waited until black Friday to buy this 5 🌟 baby!

I don’t normally share blurbs on audio books but since I Highly Recommend it here it is!

Catching Christmas

Description :

This Year, Christmas Comes Just in Time

As a first-year law associate, Sydney Batson knows she will be updating her resume by New Year’s if she loses her current case. So when her grandmother gets inexplicably ill while she’s in court, Sydney arranges for a cab to get her to the clinic.

The last thing cab driver Finn Parrish wants is to be saddled with a wheelchair-bound old lady with dementia. But because Miss Callie reminds him of his own mother, whom he failed miserably in her last days, he can’t say no when she keeps calling him for rides. Once a successful gourmet chef, Finn’s biggest concern now is paying his rent, but half the time Callie doesn’t remember to pay him. And as she starts to feel better, she leads him on wild-goose chases to find a Christmas date for her granddaughter.

When Finn meets Sydney, he’s quite sure she’s never needed help finding a date. Does Miss Callie have an ulterior motive, or is this just a mission driven by delusions? He’s willing to do whatever he can to help fulfill Callie’s Christmas wish. He just never expected to be a vital part of it.

“Blackstock’s Catching Christmasis not your average romance. Darling and laugh-out-loud cute, it makes the reader think about the important things in life. I read it in one gulp and wished there was more. Highly recommended!” —Colleen Coble, USA TODAY bestselling author of the Hope Beach and Lavender Tides series
