Happy Saturday, I hope everyone is enjoying their first weekend of month! Yesterday was full of appointments and sleep. Today we had rummage sale before heading out to my daughter’s volleyball game 🏐 .
Last month I heard fewer audio books than September and thought I’d share them sooner than usual. In fact I might start sharing them weekly since I usually listen up to 3 a week! 😉
I rate this one a 5 🌟. It probably took me over a week to finish simply because I would pause to let stuff sink in, do some research, write things down or rewind. It is super deep and has a lot of dialogue so I mostly recommend it to anyone who wants to grow spiritually.
2.Too Many Secrets (The Jennie McGrady Mysteries)
This is a classic for me because I read it over 20 years ago! This is a great christian mystery series for teenagers and I rate it 5 stars!
3.Intervention (Intervention Series, Book 1)
Vicious Cycle: An Intervention Novel (Intervention Series Book 2)
Downfall (An Intervention Novel)
There is so much to say about this series and I can’t find the words. Terri is so talented she managed to keep me captivated even though the focus was not on the suspension as I was hoping. Her ‘If I Run’ series, which I rated 5, had me on edge and was the best Christian Suspense I have ever read/heard. This series focuses more on the issues and emotions addicts suffer along with their loved ones. Though each book had a great mystery/Suspense plot she uses her talent to convey the message of Hope to those who find themselves in this journey. In her author’s notes she shares her own experience of when her daughter had to go to rehab. She uses so many verses for encouragement I found myself writing down many especially in the last book. Psalms 94:18 became a favorite: When I said, “My foot is slipping,” your unfailing love, LORD, supported me. The content is strong but deep and encouraging. I rate it 4.5 stars
This was a typical time-slip romance novel by Rachel. Yes I cried and I rate it a 4.5 stars.
Okay this book probably took me over a week to finish. No it was not deep, it was just hard to swallow! I will say the author is realistic but it was not what I expected or my cup of tea. I rate it 3.75 😁!
Well that’s last month wrap up, what are you reading or listening to?
Haven’t been reading much… Got to get back to it.
Lovely Reviews. I liked how you told me everything in a few short lines
