Happy Friday! I hope everyone had a good week. My youngest is dealing with bad allergies and a cold with the rain we are having here, but we survived the week:).
The following are not necessarily listed in the sequence I heard them, but in the order I favored them.
#1 Before We Were Yours: A Novel
A must read/hear and have! From all the library books I borrowed in August this is one I must have in my collection! 5 🌟 all the way! Based on the Georgia scandal when babies were being kidnapped and sold, Lisa Wingate weaves the heart wrenching story where the love of siblings surpasses all. It had the most touching ending I’m trying not to weep as I recall. Although, I cried throughout the novel, Lisa always manages to make me smile if not LOL, making it a well balanced book! The narrator is exceptional, I mean, how can anyone possess this much talent?! Good for everyone, especially those who like history.
This is an exceptional book that had me hooked from beginning to end. It was hard to keep my tears at bay throughout the book. Author Francine does a great job touching tough subjects, such as foster care, abusive relationships, falling into temptation, and battling spiritual demons. Great book, I can’t say enough about it, definitely 5 🌟 ! The narrator was outstanding!
This book was such an amazing historical/mystery/romance novel! I actually heard it twice already! It did not make me cry like the ones above but, definitely 5 🌟quality! It had so much wit, humor, mystery, and just so entertaining it’s worth having in all formats. The paperback is on sale right now, I actually just ordered it;). I looked up author Joanna Davidson Politano, to see what other gems she might have because, I had never heard of her. Low and Behold it was her first novel at the time, WHAT?!! I can’t wait to listen to or read her latest release! Great narrator too:).
Another extraordinary audio I own! It’s a mystery/Suspense with romance in it. This book deals with the tough subject of human trafficking and it made me cringe throughout. Definitely a nail biter;). I’m trying to remember something about the narrating but, I can’t. I believe the narrator was above average though. I give it a 4 1/2 🌟!
#5 The Sea Before Us (Sunrise at Normandy Book 1)
This was a very romantic WII fiction by Sarah Sundin! The narrating was average and I rate this book a 4 🌟! It is not the genre I usually read but, I will definitely be checking out the upcoming in this series ;).
#6 The Healer’s Apprentice (Fairy Tale Romance Series Book 1)
The Merchant’s Daughter (Fairy Tale Romance Series Book 2)
I had been hearing a lot about Melanie Dickerson, so I decided to check out a few of her books. They are light hearted and sweet. The second one was inspired by beauty and the beast although very different story:). The narrator was average, but I did get confuse a few times when she’d switch characters. Even so I rate these two a 4 🌟. This series would especially be enjoyed by people who like fairy tales and medieval times:).
#7 The Fairest Beauty (Fairy Tale Romance Series Book 3)
This novel by Melanie Dickerson was a little too much like Snow White for me. I did not listen to her books back to back so this isn’t me being fairy taled out lol. I rate this a 3 1/2 🌟. Maybe if Snow white was my favorite princess but, no Rapunzel and Mulan are ;). I believe it was the same narrator because, I experience the same confusion sometimes when she’d switch characters and scenes.
Well these were my hearings in August! Have a great weekend everyone!

Thanks for this list! I just started listening to audio books! I think I still prefer the actual books when I can get a hold of them. But love audio books for my commutes!
