Happy Saturday! ๐Ÿ’•

I hope everyone is doing fine and enjoying their weekend! I have been busy with back to school hustle bustle.

My oldest starts school on Monday and we just had ‘meet the teacher’ yesterday. Ms Henks seems like a wonderful lady and that puts my mind at ease.

It’s hard to believe Robin is starting 3rd grade and it is bitter-sweet to watch time fly:(.ย  A few months ago my pastor said that from when we bring our babies home from the hospital to the day they graduate from high school, we have approximately 936 weeks with them. Then they are off to college or of legal age to make decisions. He demonstrated with a jar full of 936 marbles and he had an extra jar where he began to pour from the full one. I laughed when he said โ€˜So when your child is 9, youโ€™ve already lost half your marblesโ€™. However, as I visually watch the first jar go half way down, I sobered because, my oldest is almost 9. I realized how time is going by so fast and I need to be more intentional with the moments we have together, making treasured memories. I don’t want to miss out on life with my daughters and I need to make sure they have the most important tools in life. Not just for earthly things but, for their spiritual lives as well.

Watching her go up to the next grade brought all these thoughts which I have just shared with you:). Can you believe she has all her supplies except pencils?! Lol y’all have a great weekend while I go buy us some pencilsย โœย !! ๐Ÿ˜‚

  1. Awwww! That reminds me that my 12-year-old is more than halfway out the door. ๐Ÿ˜ฆ I have to admit that the early years were the worst for me, sleep deprivation and potty training! Ugh! But now is the sweet time, and I want to savor every possible moment.

  2. Yes, it’s bitter sweet! My youngest is potty training right now. I try to enjoy it even when she makes a mess lol. I know it will pass soon. All I have to do is look to the oldest as a reminder of how time flies!

  3. So now we know why parents are so “dumb” and kids know everything!!
Seriously though, the time flies by so quickly, and they seem to grow even faster!
Sound like you have a great handle on parenting!

  4. You are a loving, caring and wonderful mother. Excellent insight. They do grow up before we realize it. It is so important during their first few years to establish the right foundation too.

  6. Haha sometimes I feel like I’m losing marbles by the handful and we’re not even near the 9yr mark yet! Parenting is whirlwind. But you’re so, so right time is precious and we need to make the most of it! Thanks Jessica!
